Find a guard and kill him. My game's devotion paladin lost their oath killing a Moonrise guard (pre siege) by attacking without provocation. Read your book (Pally's get a book in their inventory of their oaths). Then do the opposite of one of those. A quick Reddit search gave me this thread .
