I have changed the thermostat and the water pump. i am still getting the temp sensor going off and a check engine light. temp sensor will go off even when it is cold, i am thinking that is bad. Now, out of nowhere, the overheat alarm and lights are going nuts. The very moment I start the motor the alarm sounds.

If not, then you may have shorted wires or a faulty gauge. When you have a tech hook up his laptop, the EMM will show a NO OIL Code 38 if there was an actual incident.
