Overall, I think JW is probably more difficult (my opinion of course), but the official AAMC material maybe slightly less difficult than the actual MCAT. Just took AAMC OG and got 27/30 timed. Though, I usually average 3-4/6 on JW passages (and same with UPangea). MAYBE the OG cars is easier, but I honestly think that AAMC cars is way more simple than those UPangea and JW questions, which I find to be quite cerebral at times. Everyone's different. I feel like it's hard to say whether it's harder or easier than AAMC passages, it's just different. Personally, I score around 80% or higher for aamc, but I've found that I get almost every KA question right. If you have enough passages left for AAMC, I would use just those for practice, because third party CARS are just different logic.

I 100% agree that Volume 1 part a was 100x harder than part b. I got a 44/60 on the first part of the Official AAMC CARS Volume 1 (only 72%ish), which was rather disheartening and worrisome. I also find that JW just has a lot more variability than AAMC: some Q’s are super easy and some are super hard.
