The best ever is Gormenghast by Mervyn Peake, then Book of the New Sun by Wolfe. The Witcher books are also literally medieval, and Joe Abercrombie's new series is fantastic as well. The Once and Future King is great. It's about King Arthur, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table! The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Luke I appreciate the way the gospel is put forward in this book. It's the one I find myself re-reading the most. John is probably the best for overall theology of the meaning of Christ's sacrifice but Luke does a great job of clearly pointing out the events that took place. BONUS LEAST FAVORITE BOOK

Journey to the Center of the Earth 1864.The Princess Bride, Howl's Moving Castle and Hitchhiker's Guide are awesome feel-good books. I also like reading the Stephanie Plum series for some light reading. The last of the hitchhikers books by adams depressed me. I have a weakness for the Shopaholic series.

Haven't read all of them yet (just finished Time of Contempt), but Sword of Destiny is my favourite so far, I love those short stories. Sword of Destiny, especially Something More and A Little Sacrifice teared me apart. I'm only to read Lady of the Lake and I expect it to top those two. Lady of the Lake, quite by far.
