At first the gun shot great, but then the issue slowly developed and towards the end it would fail to fire every 5-10 rounds or so. I suspect it was due to the safety disconnect.
The problem that you're experiencing is because the guns come off the line and are thrown in a box, when they really need a bit of hand-fitting. The curved cutout on the hammer is insufficient, causing excessive interference with the rotating pin on the safety. Even on a properly operating 938, the safety sucks. All firearms shipped to SIG SAUER require a service request number and the serial number of the firearm. This number can be obtained by calling our customer service group (603-610-3000).
