I have to say, Michigan really understands the rest area concept. Every 30 to 40 minutes across I-94 between Detroit and Chicago, there's a nice spot to pull in, park, take a few steps with trees and benches, clean bathrooms, vending machines, walk the dog and if the Sun is right, take a quick nap.
