Gmc sierra radio display not working.
I changed my battery this morning. The old one was toast. Put in a Deka 778DT. The swap was fine. Nothing abnormal about it. But when I went to drive the truck the radio didn't work. The screen doesn't come on. The buttons don't light up when I turn on the headlights. The buttons DO come on for 4-5 seconds when I hit the power button.
Start by making sure the light would be up as high as possible (hold the lighting switch for the Hudson up for 15 seconds) then press the angle button down for 10 seconds and stop. If you don't see anything in the windshield, start lifting it up and see if it comes into view. All of this while sitting in the driver seat looking forward obviously.Disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes and see if it corrects. After disconnecting, turn your headlight switch on or honk the horn several times to discharge any lingering capacitor voltage. Well typically its related to that dash sensor not working correctly...im not a fan of throwing $ at something without diagnosis.... Jun 13, 2023 · if the latter, the 3-4 pack is burnt, trans needs to come out for overhaul. if the former, you'll want to plug in a two-way scan tool, drive it and watch the data to see if the pcm is commanding an upshift. If so,and its not upshifting upon command, the problem is in the valve body.
There is no guidance in the manual, unless I missed it. The call button has always worked the same in every vehicle I've driven, from rentals to my most recent 2018 Colorado. When I press the call button, circled in the picture, absolutely nothing happens. This button is what I used to use to initiate a hands free call.The second time I had to reset the system. I went (on the truck) to settings-> System -> Reset options -> Restart in safe mode. In the on screen instructions it says to shut down engine, open door, close door, then wait 1 min at least (I waited 3 to 5). Started back up and it immediately started working right. Not a whole lot of tricks, maybe try pulling the fuse and resetting it. If the laser is bad you pretty much need a new player. There are some tricks for cds that get stuck and other mechanical things like that, but I don't know of any for the laser itself besides cleaning. Battery went bad & was replaced under warranty. Put the new battery in & the NAV radio had power but wouldn’t come on meaning I could eject the NAV disk but the radio display stayed blank.
