2013 ford edge climate control not working.
The motor is working too hard to turn the blades and overheats the resistor causing it to self adjust the fan speed to low. This problem with the self adjustment to the lowest setting is a sign the fan motor probably needs to be replaced. Forcing it to run by turning the speed back up over and over again will eventually damage the resistor.

So it is either the climate module or the cable with the Canbus signals feeding that module is intermittent. It should not take a knowledgeable service technician too long to find the issue. Truck has auto climate control, heated seats, touch screen and voice control. All methods fail to operate any heat or a/c functions. Snap on scanner shows all heat functions calling for heat but no response. All blend doors have no movement at all through defrost, vent and floor selections. Next coarse of action.
