It is worth a try if your U-Connect stops functioning. In the trunk of my 2006 300C is a second fuse box to the rear of the battery. Fuse #1 is clear and is labeled "Ignition Off Draw" in the owners manual. Pull it up, not out, to disengage it. There is nothing to unlatch, just pull it up.

It showed my location as being about a mile away from where I actually was. Replacing the head unit is quite simple assuming you use the correct parts. Unfortunately it is true, you can't really use any old chrysler harness, but it has nothing to do with the amp. Simply put there is no acc wire in the harness.If you have a "valid" Sirius Account, you can go On-Line & have the Signal "Resent", or ask a Rep to have it Resent. Be sure the vehicle is out in the open & wait apprx 15 minutes after the Signal has been Resent, then try to tune.
