Pcsx2 60 fps.
Running perfectly so far, currently going through the whole game to verify. My GPU is the bottleneck keeping me from increasing the internal resolution. Last I checked the best i could get to perfect emulation there were still vertical lines underwater, but the new half pixel offset option fixes it. Amazing job to the pcsx2 crew.

The fact that you have a "60fps" patch is interesting, because I'm pretty sure the game is default at 60. MC3 is also pretty resource intensive, so your PC just might not be able to run it. A few other notes though, there's a widescreen patch and something to fix the lights freaking out. Find. TheMLGTurtle.

Story morale, try to get the FPS exactly that of the TV standard used, 60 for NTSC or 50 for PAL. The perception of movement/events change is immediately noticeable if the FPS falls in a PS2 or PCSX2 without speedhacks. Then PCSX2 tries the best of two worlds, that is artificially increasing the FPS by various methods (speedhacks).It occurs randomly after every 4 or 5 minutes. Both games run at 60 fps full speed with no frame drops between but only during this problem the frame drops to 40 and then jumps back to 60. I've noticed this same problem in other games as well where they run stable with no lag. I'm pretty sure its random since I'm unable to replicate the problem ...

In PCSX2's case, that FPS counter is the "Monitor refresh rate" of the pseudo TV that the emulator is "plugged in to". A real TV would run at 60 FPS, even if it's only being fed 20 FPS, and it just fills the holes by repeating frames.
