The Destiny 2 Vex Strike Force rewards offer a guaranteed Exotic gear drop upon successful completion, alongside a Terminal Overload Key. The Vex Strike Force event on Neomuna can drop the Lost Sector exotics now. You still have to own the expansion associated with the exotic to get the drop. The event is random, but there is a bot that watches the map for it and can notify you. If you've been able to join Vex Strike Force public events on Neomuna, you may have been encountering errors that boot you out. There's been speculation that the errors are caused by too much Strand ability spam. That's an average of once every 4 hours, but it's not exactly 4 hours, and it's randomized, so there's no predictability.
