Since around October I have been having issues with my jeep overheating, but it only does so on the highway. I've gotten my thermostats replaced, my water pump, and my radiator. My mechanic has also flushed my system multiple times. In town it's fine, it doesn't go over half on the temperature gauge. This has been a problem for the past several months. The ETC light would come on several times a week. The dealer replaced the throttle body and throttle position sensor, the powertrain control module, and the gas pedal assembly and sensor. NONE of these repairs fixed the problem.

That is not normal!!!!! Either your engine was overheating, (dash gauge not working properly), or you have a fan sensor issue. Make sure that your coolant overflow bottle has coolant in it. It's probably not the thermostat, or else it would be overheating while driving, too. Check coolant, add if needed, and then look to the fan clutch.
