This allows for multiple strategies. My typical one is to let my Nords sit five paces in front of my Rhodoks, who are five in front of my Swadians.Low ammo pool which makes them poor at longer battles and poor rate of fire which makes them less effective at fighting regular archers (outside of long range which uses a lot of ammo). SO in general you are not likely to notice a big difference between the two crossbowman units except in the melee. 8. T123456K.Archers will fire at a distance this makes for a weaker shot and they will run out of ammo. and troop vs troop, imp shields and Stergia axe men at top level. with perks the axes deal with shielded troops easy. I think a full Fian army would win due to the heavy archer fire then the 2 handed after, but the AI will never run this.
I've gotten wiped with ease twice now. My next strategy is to just get half an army of cavalry and sweep through their back line multiple times. Any tips? The sad truth is that Sturgia are just gimped in bannerlord. Regulat Infantry: Way below average. Lose out to everyone outside hired blades and some vlandian infantry. Trade companions would sell goods for more and buy for less making them financially better. Leadership companions probably are also good for something like morale and party size. Stewart companions are good for party size, food consumption ... Mameluke tier has some great skirmishers. Master archers are decent. Palace guards are hard to train but they are versatile. Not the best troop tree but nice and reliable backups. Javelins are very good in Bannerlord and most of your infantry get them. They melt opposition as long as they don't have a shield. Vlandia is the best for roughly that army composition. Use roughly 75% t3+ Vlandian Crossbowmen and 25% Vlandian Cavalry. If you want to stay one faction I would recommend empire.
