231 posts · Joined 2010. #14 · Nov 6, 2010 (Edited) I have both the 21SF and 30SF. I find that the 21 has a little heavier trigger pull than the 30, which may be a characteristic of this gun only. However, I find them both about equally accurate. I do most of my dryfiring with the 21 because of the heavier trigger pull.I opted for a 43X instead. It is worth mentioning though that the 30SF is actually the inferior .45 in Glock’s catalog. A better alternative for self-defense carry would be the Glock 30S which combines the slimmer frame and capacity of the 30SF with the thinner frame of the G36 (a pistol that was good but lacked sufficient capacity).Grip on 36 is slimmer, slide is the same as on the 30S (30S is a 36 slide on a 30SF frame). Depending on the size of your hand, one or the other may be more comfortable to grip and to shoot. The frame on the 30SF and 30S are the same. The 30S uses the Glock 36 slide on the 30SF frame. If you are getting it to use as a range toy then get the 30SF. The heavier slide makes it more comfortable to shoot. If you are getting it to carry get the 30S. On my Gen4, I've had two mag catches and springs replaced due to excessive wear of the catch and the notches in the mags. Mags would fall out upon firing the gun.
