The material used by Bose for the cord combined with its slightly larger size seems to give it extra friction making this situation a real problem. I felt constantly uneasy that the headphones were going to fall out. After I switched the medium tips (preinstalled) with the larger tips, they fit a little better, but still not great.

They are the best I've tried in every way, from design to sound to usability, and this is from a guy who's had a lot of Bluetooth speakers over the past couple years. I was amazed to find that bose had recently released the 1.7.6 update for the QC ultra earbuds, which corrected many connectivity problems. So this is the last time I'll buy a Bose product when it's released, and for the next ones I'll wait several months; if I see that they still have connectivity problems I'll go to the conccurence.
