With Dan Wesson and up you get tool steel small parts rather than MIM (Ruger, Kimber, Colt). I bought those 1911's a few years ago, price wise Brown was about $600 higher than stainless Valor, Baer in-between the two. IMO quality is a toss-up, all are made with quality parts, the difference is more in feel.
