Pull the connector from the pedal assembly and check for water, corrosion, etc. Apply some dielectric grease and plug it back in and see if the code goes away. Then then this code came up. Went through everything I could even changed the knock sensor since this affects timing. Still couldn't get it to clear. Used a check tec code scanner to diagnose and clear the code. It would clear the code but with it not running and just the key on it would clear it then the code would come back on in 3 seconds.For the 0 520230 31 code, turn the key on and off to clear the code.
