ArchiCAD's only advantage used to be it's cost. It was cheaper than Revit, so all the smaller companies bought it. Smaller companies like Mum and Pop Architect firms that do cute houses and the odd medium sized commercial/retail project. Nowadays ArchiCAD has increased in price and is nearly as much as Revit.
