The network I run at work has 24 fiber locations, most Spectrum (with a couple of HTC sites in Illinois), and seems like every year some asshole takes aim at a fiber node at midnight on New Year's.

So low priority outage in spectrum’s eyes especially with how short handed they were/are. I called them 2 times a day and waited on hold for probably a total of ten hours but i annoyed the hell out of them for the better part of a week and they finally ran a brand new line to all three houses and discounted our bills for the outage.
