Not much difference between rapier and bowfa at Ba Ba and not having to switch is nice. Much nicer overall for Wardens and slaps P3. Crystal top and bottom are a must though. 4.Fiddle with dps calc but its just a decent bow without boosts. Just finished Hydra @ 2153kc. 1.1k before 1k after BP nerf. I used rune darts after ~1400kc and it was fine, but I have 96mining from MLM and had a decent supply of rune darts to use. Used arma chest/legs. May as well use rcb or msb.The fbow has armour considerations for learners who use defence as a crutch, and 4 tick attacking messes some people up following the zuk shield. Just use RCB with rubies and dhide, it's better DPS. DCB if you want (main benefit is using dragon ruby bolts - ACB isn't really worth the cost). How good is bowfa without armour? less good. waste of armour charges. armor basically doesnt use charges at most content and even the few places it does the drain is trivial. you can collect 150 shards an hour at 85 thieving and 250 at 99. thats one hour of thieving to tens of hours of pvm. The only upkeep of bowfa is the degrading armor. Dude corrupting it requires 2000 crystal shards. That's 32m gp and for 32m gp in shards you'd otherwise get 200k shots with the uncorrupted bofa. It's not like regular bofa doesn't require anything to use. Since bofa is 4 tick that's 25 shots per minute or 1500 per hour. Question about BowFA and useable armor! So I'm 99 ranged, using BIS (minus Pegasians) ranged gear with full crystal armour & rigour. This is only a quick first day analysis, so don't expect any numbers, this is just my observation after using it at a few different places.

Also: if anyone has any cool / fun / niche / useful places to use bowfa maybe someone haven't thought of thatd be awesome! I personally use the crystal armour at other places for some extra prayer during ranging (great for slayer tasks you pray on, dag kings, hydra, guardians etc, it also has higher ranged def than arma !)
