Lefever Nitro Special Buttstock replacement. I am looking into a 20 gauge Lefever Nitro Special. I'm trying to make this a restoration project. The wood is not so great, plus it has older dimensions. Others more schooled have told me it is not worth having a replacement made, that I should look at something already produced.

Looking at the barrels, I found "Lefever Nitro Special" imprinted on the right barrel and "Lefever Arms Co., Ithaca, NY" on the left barrel. The gun is a 12 gauge, and, of course, the barrels were cut down shorter (20 5/8") most likely due to a bulged or badly dented barrel in the past.
