This is what I tell myself. The one or two tables a month that dont tip make up for one or two tables a week that dont get 100% service from me due to understaffing/lack of mental clarity for the day/whatever other stuffs going on in the kitchen. You win some, you loose some, but you only really loose if you admit it. Their total was something like $160 (they were high schoolers, so they were on a budget and they weren't getting alcohol) and I legit got $15 total from that table (but it's kind of expected with high schoolers).
