D'Addarios feel great right off the bat, they also (to me) feel like they are a little bit "beefier" and a little darker sounding than the EBs. Which I really like. Very little perceptible tone is lost through the attenuator. If you go from wide open to the most attenuated level, you can certainly hear some lost top end, but not a ton. Channel 2 is Tweedish, and does that sound very well. Set the volume low and you can get a very nice warm clean tone.The FF is bassier, the gain is smoother and it has a very good cleanup. The Serie 3 Fuzz has a more even EQ, and the overall gain is more raw (Bias at 0). The cleanup is ok, but nothing like the FF. That why it reminds more of an earlier ToneBenber than a FF.I will keep the Peacekeeper though since it has more variation in tone/EQ and keeps volume/gain when messing with Bass/Mid/Treb whereas Lightspeed drops a little on the bass side. Peacekeeper is perhaps a little bit brighter when called for. Both stack really well after the OCD, but with Peacekeeper narrowly winning.
