It will only allow the engine to run more RPMs. Since on a minibike, the engine RPMs are directly related to top speed of the bike, running the engine faster will make the bike faster. Here are the steps you’ll need to take, in order to remove the speed governor on a Predator 212cc engine: Remove the Engine From Your Go-Kart. Drain the Oil Out. Remove the Transmission. Take Off the Predator Engine Side Plate. Remove the Speed Governor. Rebuild and Remount the Predator Engine. Predator 212 break-in (Step by Step) If the engine has no oil, add the conventional 10W30 oil (not synthetic). Add fuel, if the fuel tank isn’t already filled.
